In 2014, a small group of medical students at Gießen university founded UFH as a non-profit platform to foster exchange between public health enthusiasts from different countries and enhance universal healthcare world-wide.
Today, we are a community of students and young professionals of the medical fields in Austria and Germany (Team), collaborating with partner associations in El Zapote (El Salvador), Riobamba (Ecuador) and Nairobi (Kenya). We organise Public Health Exchanges for global learning, but are equally enthusiastic about other formats to facilitate multinational knowledge and experience exchange and decolonize global health.
At UFH we feel committed to the United Nations’ 17 sustainable development goals (SDG), particularly to goal 3 (Good health and well-being) and 17 (Partnerships for the goals). We aim to synchronize efforts to reduce health disparities and enhance access to quality health care services and access to safe, effective and affordable medicines for all.
We are a non-hierarchical group that lives from integrating different perspectives and ideas - we welcome anybody who wants to join us!
